Flexible packaging equipment supplier Automated Packaging Systems (APS) is sponsoring a UK-based team in the London to Mongolia Rally in aid of Save the Children. The two students, Alice Paisley and Juliet Waud, will drive an ambulance donated by APS across Europe to Mongolia where it will be sold for local use, with the funds raised going to Save the Children.
The funds will be used to help the poorest children get healthcare, food, education and protection. Many Mongolians were left without employment and the provision of quality basic services when the Soviet Union withdrew subsidies in the 1990s, while healthcare and education nosedived.
APS, which celebrates 25 years in Europe this year, provides automated packaging for a wide range of companies, including small- and medium-sized businesses keen to step-up from hand-bagging to an automated solution.
