Ready for 10,000 mile adventure


Two university friends will set off this weekend for a gruelling 10,000 mile adventure from London to the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar.

Alice Paisley, from Hanley Castle, will team up with Juliet Waud, from Oxfordshire, to raise money for Save the Children while driving through more than a dozen countries over several weeks.

Gearing up for 10,000 mile challenge

A YOUNG woman from Malvern is teaming up with her friend from university to tackle a challenging 10,000-mile fundraising adventure.

Alice Paisley is teaming up with her friend Juliet Waud, who she met studying at Edinburgh University, to take part in the Mongolian Charity Rally this summer to raise money for Save The Children.

The event challenges teams to drive more than 10,000 miles from London to Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, crossing five mountain ranges, two deserts and countless inhospitable terrains along the way.

Bags of support for Mongolia

Flexible packaging equipment supplier Automated Packaging Systems (APS) is sponsoring a UK-based team in the London to Mongolia Rally in aid of Save the Children.


The two students, Alice Paisley and Juliet Waud, will drive an ambulance donated by APS across Europe to Mongolia where it will be sold for local use, with the funds raised going to Save the Children.

APS is donating an ambulance for the 10,000-mile London to Mongolia rally to raise money for Save the Children. The sponsorship also coincides with APS's 25th anniversary of operating in Europe.
